New Transfer Students
To support the learning experiences of our academically talented incoming transfer students, the following scholarships are available:

- Transfer Student Scholarship

Kevin Maher Memorial Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a new transfer student with a GPA of 3.0 who can document proof of public service.
To apply, you must complete the John Jay Scholarship Application Form and submit a 500-word essay. In your essay, please describe what events and/or issues led you to pursue a career in public service and how you hope your studies will better prepare you to excel. Two letters of recommendation are also required.
The application deadline is February 28, 2008.
Transfer Student Scholarship
If you are an entering transfer student and have the highest GPA, you may be eligible for a transfer student scholarship of $1,000.
To apply, you will need to complete the John Jay Scholarship Application Form and write a 500-word essay. In your essay, please discuss the following:
- Why you chose to transfer to John Jay College of Criminal Justice
- What aspects of John Jay’s curriculum you liked
- What your professional aspirations are
You must also submit a transcript from each college previously attended with this application.
The application deadline is February 28, 2008.
