If you receive financial aid, the Office of the Bursar strongly recommends that you enroll in Direct Deposit to receive your financial aid check
To enroll in Direct Deposit, simply click here and download the application form. Complete the form, make two copies and mail or hand deliver the completed forms to the Office of the Bursar, Room 522T, 899 Tenth Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
To Cancel Direct Deposit, download the cancellation form by clicking here. Complete the form, and mail or hand deliver the completed form to the Office of the Bursar, Room 522T, 899 Tenth Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
If you do not enroll in the Direct Deposit option, the University’s Central Processing Office will mail your check to your home. The process for reissuing a lost or accidently destroyed check may take 8-10 weeks. Therefore, Direct Deposit is a much more reliable option. To request the re-issuance of a financial aid check, you must come in-person to the Bursar’s Office.
A Financial Aid Check Distribution Calendar is published at the beginning of each semester. The calendar lists each financial aid program and the date on which the funds for that program should be in your account if you choose Direct Deposit or a check will be delivered to your home. The schedule is available at either the Bursar’s Office, Room 522T or the One-Stop Center located in the North Hall lobby at 445 West 59th Street.
