Hurricane Sandy Financial Aid FAQ's

A John Jay College of Criminal Justice education is an excellent value.  As a public college in The City University of New York (CUNY) system, our tuition is only a fraction of the cost of attending a private college or university of comparable quality and opportunity.

Our tuition and fees vary according to your graduate or undergraduate classification as a continuing student, a new student, a matriculated student or a non-degree student, and whether or not you are a resident of New York State.  (Matriculated students are those recognized by the college as working toward a degree.)

If you feel you need financial aid, a number of options are available for undergraduate  and graduate students.  Also, special allowances are made for students who leave CUNY for military service.

Note: Tuition and fees are established by the Board of Trustees of The City University of New York and are subject to change without prior notice by action of the Board of Trustees of The City University of New York.  In the event of any increase in fees or tuition charges, payments already made to the College will be treated as partial payment.  Students will be notified of the additional amount due and the time and method of payment.  Students who have not paid all fees and tuition by the time indicated will not be considered registered and will not be admitted to classes.
