STUDENT HEALTH @ JOHN JAY
The John Jay Student Health Center provides quality and affordable health care to the student body and educate student patients about preventive and acute medical care. The center and the programs it offers, address the physical, emotional and social well being of students through accessible, high quality, cost effective health services and activities. Through the Student Health Center, students can also participate in health-related programs. Students may obtain health insurance information as well as participate in immunization clinics for necessary Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), HPV(Gardasil), and flu inoculations, as well as many other services.
ELIGIBILITY and COST
The Student Health Center is a primary health care facility available to all John Jay students with a valid ID. Most of the services are free of charge. Other services are available for a small fee.
Services and Fees
Non-CUNY Immunization Request, Pregnancy Testing and Gym Physicals are priced at $5.00. Click here for the Medical Release Form.
Medical Emergencies
In case of a medical emergency, the Office of Campus Security should be notified in person, by phone 212.237.8888), or by calling on one of the emergency phones located in the hallways throughout the college.
Primary Care Practitioner
Primary Care Practitioner. She provides health counseling and Health assessments, minor first aid treatment and blood pressure readings. Referrals will be given to area clinics for physical exams, reproductive health care and urgent care needs. Make an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner.
Over-the-Counter
Some over-the-counter medications are available FREE of CHARGE at the Student Health Center. To find out more, click here.
