New York, NY, April 30, 2009 – The CUNY Graduate Center doctoral program in Criminal Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice was ranked as one of the top 10 programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2009 “Best Graduate Schools” survey.
“This ranking is a tremendous honor and underscores the talent and commitment of the John Jay faculty. The CUNY Graduate Center Doctoral Program in Criminal Justice offers an interdisciplinary education in the fields of criminal justice, criminology and forensic science. The program prepares students for careers of scholarship and teaching in criminal justice and related areas.
US News & World Report “Best Graduate Schools” rankings spotlight the country’s academically excellent graduate programs. The PhD program rankings in Criminology are based solely on the responses of peer assessment surveys sent to academics in the criminology discipline, four per school.
