John Jay College Of Criminal Justice | The City University of New York

The John Jay College Sustainability Council was established in 2007.  The council consist of faculty, staff and students.  It meets several times per year, and has worked on a CUNY wide initiative to promote Sustainability throughout the campus.  The goal of this Sustainability effort is to meet Mayor Bloomberg’s “30 in 10” challenge.  “30 in 10” refers to a reduction of 30% in the carbon footprint of New York City in the next ten years.  Please see the list of 8 Key areas for an overview of accomplishments and future plans.
