College Council

The College Council is the primary governing body of John Jay College of Criminal Justice. It has authority to establish College policy on all matters except those specifically reserved by the Education Law or by the Bylaws of the Board of Trustees of The City University of New York to the President or to other officials of John Jay College or of The City University of New York, or to the CUNY Board of Trustees. The council is composed of a representative body of members of the College faculty, higher education officers, students and administration. The member in the College Council is fixed at 69 and is allocated as follows:

  • Faculty is allotted 42 representatives. Click here for the names of the current faculty on the Council.
