Welcome to the Children's Center at John Jay College!

Established in 1984, the Children's Center is committed to providing quality early care and education, supporting families and sharing information and resources to make a positive difference in the lives of the children who participate in the Center's activities.

We are an on-campus center that provides student parents with peace of mind so that you can focus on succeeding in class while your child attends high quality early care in an affordable environment.

In a warm, caring and comfortable atmosphere, children between the ages of six months and four years take part in age-appropriate, educational programs that the Center provides.

Because of our flexible registration system, parents are able to register their children based on their college schedule. We are licensed by the NYC Department of Health, Bureau of Day Care.

Mission

We strive to provide childcare service to student parents in the context of quality care and education for young children. We accomplish this by offering intuitive, yet thoughtful nurturing for the children, which in turn nurtures their families, the University and society. In our work we value the rich diversity of the CUNY community, the fascinating complexity of the natural world, and the warm fellowship enjoyed by those working towards truth and justice.
