The William E. Macaulay Honors College application is designed to reflect an applicant's academic record and preparation for the rigorous intellectual experience in this program. Admission depends on high school GPA, SAT I/ACT scores, writing sample, letters of recommendation and an interview. A student admitted to Macaulay generally has SAT scores (Verbal and Quantitative) a round 1200 and a college academic average (CAA) greater than 90. The admissions process considers the unique qualities each student brings to the program so that exceptional students who do not meet these criteria may be admitted to the program.
How to Apply? Students may apply by visiting the CUNY portal. All supporting documentation for the Honors College application, including the essay, recommendations, transcripts, and SAT I/ACT scores-must be postmarked by the December 1st deadline to be considered. The Honors College cannot consider late or incomplete applications.
