Welcome to John Jay College!
On behalf of the members of the Student Development Office, I welcome you to John Jay College of Criminal Justice. All of you are joining the John Jay family for the first time. Our orientation program has been developed with your academic success in mind – as well as getting you involved in the life of the College.
Orientation is a crucial part of your successful transition to college. Whether you are a first time student, a transfer student, an international student or a returning adult student, orientation provides important information relevant to your success in college.
The program of the day will include a review of the important facts you need to know about the College, information on tutoring and other specialized services, as well as sessions on campus life and student success.
Of course, there will be also be opportunities to interact with faculty, staff and other students in more relaxed settings and to learn about the many opportunities to participate in college life through the student association and the more than 30 clubs on campus.
