Commencement Reminders
· Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2008 will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Madison Square Garden (Theater) on 7th Avenue and 32nd Street.
· All Students must apply for graduation.
Students who do not appear on the “Approved Candidates for Degree List” in the Registrar’s Office will not be allowed to participate without written consent from the Registrar’s office.
If you are planning to participate in the Commencement Exercises, you must do the following:
Cap & Gown Information
· Ordering your Cap & Gown
Jostens will be on campus in the North Hall Lobby to facilitate student Cap & Gown orders and answer any questions and concerns relating to their purchase and distribution. If you are planning to participate in the Commencement Exercise, you must meet with a Jostens Representative.
· Dates and Location for Ordering Your Cap & Gown
Jostens will be in the North Hall Lobby on the following dates:
March 12, 13, 25 and 26 from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Please Note:when ordering you must know the degree you are earning. If you have any doubt about your degree (e.g. BA or BS) call the ONE-STOP call center at 212.237.8878.
· Cost of Cap & Gown
Your cap, gown, tassel and hood is listed below.
Master’s Degree - $42.00 Bachelor’s Degree - $40.00 Associate’s Degree - $40.00
· How to Pay
JOSTENS accepts checks, money orders and credit cards ONLY. NO CASH!
· Cap & Gown Distribution Days
You will be able to pick up your cap and gown on May 19 and 20 in the Multi-Purpose Room (2200N) from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. At that time, you also will be able to pick up your Graduation Tickets and Yearbook.
· Refund Policy
Refunds for canceled cap and gown orders are available from Jostens only if the company receives your request to cancel the order in writing no later than May 1, 2008.
