Her main responsibilities include student academic advisement and counseling, collaborate with Masters Program Directors on course scheduling, prepare master thesis deadlines and submission procedures and manage thesis final approval process, advice NYPD non-matriculated students to enter graduate studies, and assist the Dean as needed. Ms. Duro represents the Dean in all aspects of student registration and other issues. She manages and oversees the development of the Office of Graduate Studies.

She is the Secretary of the Committee on Graduate Studies, and is responsible for the administration of the budget of the office, the editing of the Graduate Bulletin, the organization of the Graduate Orientation bi-annually and the publication of the Graduate Newsletter, which is distributed to students in the spring and fall semesters. She assists the Office of Admissions in the organization of the Graduate Open House, which is also held bi-annually. Her responsibilities include the administration of the Affiliation Agreement process, and management of the content of the website for the Office of Graduate Studies.

She assists with all arrangement for the meetings of the Committee on Graduate Studies. She makes all arrangements for food requests for meetings and other functions sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies. She maintains the excel file for all budgetary expenditures and reimbursement from the Student Activities budget. She assists the Administrative Director with the arrangements for Graduate Orientation, Graduate Open House, and the Graduate Lecture Series. She also assists the Director with the maintenance and processing of Affiliation Agreements.
