Students, graduates and former students may request copies of their transcripts in three ways, ONLINE, IN PERSON or BY MAIL. Requests, whether online, in person or by mail, are processed in the order received. Transcripts are processed within 5 to 10 working days from our date of receipt. For students who attended John Jay College prior to 1996, transcript requests may take beyond the normal 5-10 working days from our date of receipt. We apologize for any inconvenience and delay this may cause.

There are two kinds of transcripts:Student Copies and Official Copies. Student Copies are unofficial copies that the student can request for his or her own records. Official Copies are not given directly to students. They must be prepared and processed in the order received. Sealed Official transcripts mailed to students are stamped "Issued to Student".

STOPS: A transcript will not be sent if the student has any "stops" on the record (i.e. Bursar, Library, Financial Aid, etc.). The "stop" must be removed (by the student) before any transcript can be sent.
