Students who have been conditionally admitted to
John Jay because they have not passed one of the
CUNY Assessment Tests (CAT) may be eligible to
participate in the Spring or Summer Academy
programs. These tuition-free retest preparation
programs give students another chance to achieve
skill proficiency and start at John Jay in the fall.
SUMMER ACADEMY SCHEDULE
1. Summer Academy On-Campus Math, Session I:
May 27–June 19, Tuesday and Thursday evenings
2. Summer Academy On-Campus Math, Session II:
June 30–July 17, Monday through Thursday mornings
3. Summer Academy On-Campus Math, Session III:
July 21–August 7, Monday through Thursday mornings
4. Summer Academy On-Campus Writing:
June 30–July 24, Monday through Thursday mornings
No retest preparation programs for Math will be offered to students who test after July 10, 2014. No retest preparation programs for Writing will be offered to students who test after June 13, 2014.
If you are eligible, you will receive an invitation to sign up for one of the Academy programs, depending on the day you tested and the skill you need. To sign up online, see the top blue box. If you think you are eligible but don't hear from us, please contact us at SASP@jjay.cuny.edu. Registration is limited, so students should sign up as soon as they receive an invitation.

SASP staff will contact you in about one week to confirm your registration. If you don't hear from us, email SASP@jjay.cuny.edu. Remember to make any necessary adjustments to your spring or summer schedule so that you can commit to the program. This is a short and intensive program that requires a lot of time and hard work in and outside the classroom.
