Graduate Non-Degree Enrollment Process


Required documents for the non-degree graduate application include:

1. UMOS I.D. or official NYPD transcript.

2. $50 Application Fee (payable by check or money order). If you are a John Jay College alumna, you are waived from the application fee.

3. Official transcript with conferred Bachelor’s Degree.

4. Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. Please note, you are not required to re-submit your immunization records if you are an alumna.

The application process can be conducted in-person (by appointment only) or via postal mail. Please follow the instructions below to complete your application:

OPTION 1: Enrollment Process (Postal Mail)
Please send all of the following documents in one packet:

A. Graduate Non-Degree Application (please ensure you include your email address on the application)

B. Application Fee**:
Submit a non-refundable $50 check or money order, payable to John Jay College.

** Please note the application fee is waived for John Jay College Alumni and military personnel. In order to be waived, you must provide proof of Veteran/Military status (i.e. DD-214, Current Military ID Card, or Deployment or Pre-separation orders)**

C. College Transcript with conferred Bachelor’s degree

D. NYPD official transcript (or you may send request this to be sent directly to the Admissions Office, from the NYPD academy).

Once we receive all of the documents listed above, we will send you an email directing you to send your immunization records to the Student Health office.

E. Immunization Records:
Before you can register for classes, you are required to submit proof that you have been immunized for measles, mumps and rubella, as well as complete the meningitis section of the immunization form. You have the option of faxing the immunization records to the Student Health Center at 212-237-8026. If you opt to send the fax, please follow-up with the office to confirm receipt at 212-237-8053. If you are a John Jay alumna, you are not required to re-submit your immunization records, unless otherwise specified.

OPTION 2: Enrollment Process (In-Person)
To submit an application in-person, you must schedule an appointment (no walk-ins).
