Faculty Cap & Gown Information

All full time faculty members are expected to attend commencement; part time faculty members are welcome to attend.  Please email your name to commencement@jjay.cuny.edu indicating which ceremony (or both) you will attend so that we can make the appropriate seating arrangments on stage.

Remember that you must wear a gown if you will be in the procession and on the stage. 

THERE WILL BE NO RENTING OF ACADEMIC ATTIRE ON GRADUATION DAY AT JAVITS CENTER NORTH.  ALL ORDERS MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE.

The deadline for online ordering is Friday, April 5, 2011.  If you have not ordered, you will incur an additional shipping charge of $20.00, and you must order by telephone at 1-800-854-7464. Please order as soon as possible if you have not already placed your order.  Orders will be shipped to John Jay College and will be available for pick up starting May 20th.  When the attire arrives, Maribel Perez (mperez@jjay.cuny.edu) will email you with instructions for pickup.

Please remember that all rented attire must be returned in the labeled bags to a Jostens representative or a member of our designated staff at the end of the ceremony/ceremonies.
