2015 Commencement Ceremonies
When: June 3, 2014
Time: 10:30AM or 3:30PM
Location: The Theater at Madison Square Garden
John Jay Colleges hosts two Commencement ceremonies, an AM ceremony (10:30AM) and a PM ceremony (3:30PM). Students should plan to attend the ceremony that includes their major. Please see below for a list of majors.
10:30AM - Morning Ceremony
MORNING CEREMONY BEGINS AT 10:30 AM.
Students, please arrive at the venue by 9:00 AM

Cap & Gown Information
Oak Hall Cap and Gown, Inc. is John Jay College's exclusive regalia vendor. Cap and gown orders will be taken until May 1, 2015 for both students and faculty. Caps and gowns will NOT be available for borrowing, renting or purchasing at the venue on the day of commencement. You MUST have your regalia with you in order to walk across the stage. Information for Students and Guests with Disabilities:
If you or one of your guests is in a wheelchair, uses a cane or a walker, requires sign language interpretation or has any other mobility and/or disability, please contact Nadia Griffith-Allen at 212-237-8119 or firstname.lastname@example.org by May 1, 2015 so that accommodations can be made for you and your guests.
Please note that all students will receive THREE tickets for guests! Graduating students do not require a ticket. Tickets may be picked up on May 13 or 14 at Graduate Salute in the Student Dining Hall. Extra tickets are NOT guaranteed. Please check your emails after Graduate Salute is over for announcements about extra ticket distribution information and what may or may not be available. Tickets are free and sales are not encouraged. Students who need extra tickets are encouraged to speak to other graduating students who do not plan to attend the ceremony to obtain their tickets. Duplication of tickets is strictly prohibited.
International Students and Guests:
Some embassies require a letter on College letterhead that confirms the date and time of commencement ceremony. If you require this document please contact email@example.com in the Admissions Office with the following information: country of origin, embassy mailing address, and the names of the guests you are inviting to commencement (3 tickets total).
Out of State/John Jay Online Students:
If you are an out-of-state or online student interested in participating in the Commencement Ceremony, you must contact Ms. Danielle Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
