Dominick R. Cromartie
Dominick R. Cromartie is an associate in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert and a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee. Mr. Cromartie has experience in general commercial litigation, including intellectual property matters, complex contractual disputes, business torts, real estate disputes and employment issues. He has also represented businesses before a federal jury trial, in arbitration hearings and has argued before the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court. Before joining Davis & Gilbert, Mr. Cromartie was a litigation attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison LLP, where he worked on complex securities, derivative and financial fraud actions, and post-conviction criminal proceedings. He also clerked for the Honorable Anna Diggs Taylor in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Edward Davis, Board Chair
Edward Davis is a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP. Mr. Davis specializes in counseling on media and intellectual property issues, complex commercial litigation and arbitration (often involving multinational disputes), and First Amendment litigation. Mr. Davis received an A.B., magna cum laude from Harvard College, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an M.A. from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Steven Feldman is a lead partner in the White Collar Defense practice at Herrick Feinstein LLP. Mr. Feldman represents companies and individuals accused of securities law violations, business crimes and fraudulent practices by the U.S. Attorney's Office, State Attorney General, District Attorney and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the law review and was selected to the Order of the Coif.
Maria Fernandez is Senior Counsel and Trust & Compliance Officer at Global Business Partners as well as the Worldwide Law Department Education Executive. In her current role Ms. Fernandez is primarily responsible for assisting in the development and deployment of anti-corruption/bribery compliance programs for IBM's Distribution Channel organization. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Lehman College (City University of New York) and her J.D. from Cornell University School of Law.
DeNora Getachew is the Campaign Manager and Legislative Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU. In her role, she manages a portfolio of advocacy initiatives aimed at improving our nation’s democracy and ensuring that voting is free, fair and accessible for all Americans. Ms. Getachew previously served as the Policy Director for Public Advocate Bill de Blasio. Ms. Getachew earned her B.S. in Legal Studies with honors from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
Thomas Hickey is the Principal Law Clerk to Justice Rosalyn Richter, who currently is an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, New York State Supreme Court. Mr. Hickey previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office and as an associate attorney at Kenyon & Kenyon. Mr. Hickey also has served as Acting Executive Director of the New York City Commission to Combat Police Corruption, and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Mr. Hickey holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University’s College of Arts and Science, a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice Administration.
Melique Jones is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Ms. Jones was previously the Manager of Marketing and Business Development at Skadden, before becoming the Manager of Diversity and now Director of Diversity and Inclusion. She earned a B.A. from New York University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Jose Perez is the Associate General Counsel of LatinoJustice PRLDEF. Mr. Perez previously worked with the New York Attorney General's Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau, leading the Office's Immigrant Consumer Outreach Initiative. He is an alumnus of St. John's University twice over, receiving his Bachelor of Science from the College of Business Administration and his J.D. from the School of Law.
Anne Beane Rudman
Anne Beane Rudman is the owner of Anne Beane Rudman LLC, a legal services firm. Ms. Rudman is an active alumna of Sarah Lawrence College, from which she received her B.A She has held positions on the Board of Trustees, the Alumnae Board and numerous committees.She received her J.D. from Fordham University.
Seny Taveras is the Executive Director of CUNY in the Heights at Hostos Community College. Ms. Taveras is an experienced government administrator. She attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and she received her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
Anne Ternes is an Assistant District Attorney in the Rackets Bureau of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Ms. Ternes conducts long-term investigations into criminal enterprises. She received a B.A. from Hamilton College and her J.D. from Fordham Law School's Evening Division.
Heather Wilde is a Senior Attorney in the Open Source Legal Group at Microsoft. She counsels a variety of Microsoft business units on the use of open source software and open source licensing issues. Prior to joining Microsoft, Heather worked for several years at the Intellectual Property firm Darby & Darby. Ms. Wilde attended University of Washington as an undergraduate and received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
