Students must be in good academic standing to pursue a study abroad program (a GPA or 2.0 or higher). Each program will indicate specific eligibility requirements, for example GPA, foreign language ability or class standing. It is important to review the requirements before pursuing an application. All students wishing to study abroad are required to meet with the Director of International Studies & Programs prior to applying for a program. Students should also meet with their major academic advisor to discuss their plans and review course offerings. Semester study abroad students are required to maintain full-time status and must take the equivalent of 12 semester credits while abroad. SENIORS PLEASE NOTE
Participating in a study abroad program during your last semester at John Jay or in the summer after your last semester could result in a delayed graduation.
