Sophomore Kickoff is a welcome event to get you ready for the opportunities you have as a sophomore. This is where you can get a head start on planning for scholarships, study abroad, research with faculty, leadership development, paid internships, and other exciting opportunities programs. Sophomore Express is a series of workshops for second semester freshmen co-led by John Jay faculty, staff, and peer mentors. You learn about applying for internships, scholarships and research opportunities, and receive support with your application. By the end of the series, you will have connected to a special opportunity program that you’ll be working on in your sophomore year. Sophomore Signature Courses are taught by professors with a special interest in helping sophomores succeed and make the most of their sophomore year. CUNY Service Corps: Paid Service Learning is a special program for John Jay students who have completed at least 24 credits. As a member of the CUNY Service Corps, you work in a paid service position that gives you real world experience to build your resume and be prepared for your future career. Learn more and apply.
