IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Starting November 2, 2009 the Math Prep Center will be located in the North Hall Building. Please visit us in room 4003 N right across the hall from the Math and Science Resource Center.

The Math Preparation Center or MPC provides small-group tutoring for mathematics courses offered at John Jay College. Tutoring is done by appointment, and it is recommended to schedule appoitnments in advance. Tutoring and workshops are also offered for the math portion of the CUNY Assessment Test to eligible students. Please visit the other areas of out website to learn more!!

Rules of the MPC
1) Tutors are here to help you learn, but will not help with any graded assignments (tests, homework, extra credit, etc.)

2)  Come Prepared.  Bring a pencil or pen, your class notes, textbooks, and a notebook to write in.

3)  Textbooks are available for use in the center, please ask a tutor first.

4) Tutoring sessions are done by appointment and can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance, with only three appointments allowed per week.

5) Tutoring is not a substitute for class, nor can appointments be made during class time.

6)  If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, and have not called ahead to let us know, you may lose your appointment
