Lab Hours for Spring 2012 (Beginning January 30, 2012):
Monday & Tuesday 10 AM - 8 PM
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 10 AM - 6 PM

PLEASE NOTE: THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE  LAB IS OPERATING ON LIMITED HOURS UNTIL JANUARY 30, 2012. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A PLACEMENT EXAM DURING THE WINTER BREAK, PLEASE CONTACT KAT MENDEZ AT 212-237-8707 TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

Please note: The lab is closed on holidays observed by the College.  It may operate on modified hours during winter and summer intersession; please call ahead if you are unsure of the lab schedule.

 

The foreign language lab at John Jay College is a resource designed to supplement the language course offerings of the college and to foster independent and self-guided study through the use of technology and tutoring.

Individual and small group tutoring is available by appointment for students enrolled in any foreign language course at the College.

General Information:

  • The Foreign Language Lab is located in room 112 Westport and offers tutoring in Portuguese, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Arabic.
  • The lab offers access to twenty five computer units with Rosetta Stone software in nine languages.
  • Students have access to lab and textbook audio supplements.
  • Students considering taking French or Spanish may come to the lab to take the language placement exam at any time during the semester.
