I earned both my Baccalaureate and my Master’s in Forensic Psychology in Fall of 2013 here, at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I was certain that I would be dismantling the criminal psyches- but sometimes life presents itself with new and exciting opportunities.

During my time as a student, I was lucky enough to join the Peer Advisor Program within the Academic Advisement Center in 2010. As a Peer Advisor I was able to help fellow students with their academic issues and concerns and, at the same time, feel more connected to the John Jay community overall. I absolutely love working with students and am grateful that I am able to continue to do so, now, as a part-time Advisor.

Working at the Academic Advisement Center has helped me recognize my love in working with students. As a fellow John Jay student, I understand the challenges and anxieties that come with being a college student. It can be hard! But, I am here to provide students with solid answers and a concrete plan of action. I like to use advisement as an opportunity to teach: I provide students with the required information they need to progress academically and help explain how to use the college resources available to them. All the while, I aim to instill a sense of responsibility while providing the utmost level of support in any decision a student makes.
