John Jay College Of Criminal Justice | The City University of New York

My name is Amanda Surujdeo and I am currently a junior here at John Jay. I am a Political Science major as well as an English, History, and Philosophy minor. I chose John Jay mainly for its liberal arts core. During my time here I have come to enjoy the college’s diverse student population as well as its renowned commitment to public service.  I have found my niche here and truly enjoy utilizing John Jay’s various offices that help me recognize and strive for my goals, as well as meeting people from all walks of life who are on their own unique paths.
After I obtain my Bachelors, I plan to attend law school. Subsequently, I hope to become an immigration lawyer to help others in this capacity, and advocate for those in need.

Fun Fact: Overall I am a friendly, down to earth person. I am thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to be a Peer Advisor, and I look forward to meeting you!
