Latino Leadership Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School

The Latino Leadership Initiative is a weeklong summer program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Participants work together in a cohort to develop a leadership project that will benefit the Latino community. The program is designed to help students develop and hone their leadership skills. Students accepted into this program receive free tuition to the program as well as free room and board and travel to and from Massachusetts.

To be eligible, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.20, be a United States citizen or a permanent resident, and be studying on campus for the two semesters following your completion of the program.

The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship

The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship provides fellows up to $40,000 per year to pay for the costs of their senior year of college and their first year of graduate school. Following the completion of their education, fellows agree to work for the United States Department of State Foreign Service for at least three years. Fellows will also complete summer internships in the United States and internationally.

To be eligible, you must be a United States citizen, have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher, and be a junior.

The Truman Scholarship

The Truman Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship awarded to approximately sixty college juniors each year. The $30,000 scholarship can be used for graduate study in a public service field.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a college junior and a United States Citizen.
