The Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program allows students to pursue individual research projects or English teaching assistantships in a foreign country. Those who receive a Fulbright grant will live abroad for one year. The grant includes free travel to and from the United States and the recipient’s host country and a living stipend to cover the costs of room and board.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a United States citizen in good health and you must be proficient in the language of your host country. Prior to the beginning of your Fulbright, you must have received your B.A.

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship and living stipend to pursue post-graduate studies at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Individuals interested in becoming a Gates Cambridge Scholarship must apply to and be accepted to the University of Cambridge in order to be eligible for this scholarship.

Citizens of the United Kingdom are not eligible for this scholarship, but United States citizens and citizens of other countries are eligible.

The Marshall Scholarship

The Marshall Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship award that allows American citizens the opportunity to earn a post-graduate degree at any university in the United Kingdom. The scholarship covers the costs of tuition and it provides a book and travel stipend.

To be eligible to apply, you must have an undergraduate GPA of at least a 3.70 and you must be an American citizen.

The George J. Mitchell Scholarship

The Mitchell Scholarship is a yearlong scholarship to pursue graduate studies at a university in Ireland or Northern Ireland. The Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and room and board; it also includes a living stipend and a travel stipend.

To be eligible, you must be a United States citizen and be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Seniors and alumni who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.

The Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship to pursue a post-graduate degree or a second undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Rhodes Scholars may choose to pursue their studies in any field offered by the University. The scholarship is a full tuition scholarship and includes a stipend and transportation to and from the United Kingdom.

To be eligible, you must be a United States citizen and be 18 to 23 years old.
