CONNECT WITH US
I earned my BA in Media Management from SUNY New Paltz, where I began my career in higher education by getting involved in several different positions as a Resident Assistant and Orientation Leader, among others. Upon graduation, I traveled home to Long Island to begin working as a Residence Hall Director at Adelphi University. While working at Adelphi, I completed my MA in Psychology. In my position at Adelphi, I worked closely with a large population of first-year students, counseling and advising on transition to college life, academic success, and all the social and learning opportunities that I found so enjoyable as an undergraduate.
After leaving Adelphi to explore other options, I began working as a Liability Claims Representative for a private insurance company. After quickly realizing that my heart belonged in higher education, and more specifically, advising and working one-on-one with students, I joined the AAC here at John Jay in March 2014.
I enjoy working with such a diverse, driven student population and a dedicated team of professionals. I understand just how important the role of an advisor can be in a student’s academic success and the best part of my job is educating and assisting students in mapping out a plan to reach their goals. I understand that each path that a student travels is unique and not always easy, but I look forward to meeting you, answering your questions, and working together to find the path that suits you best and makes your college career most rewarding.
