Teresa A. Booker is an Assistant Professor of African-American Studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she teaches courses on ethnic studies and restorative justice. Her research interests include Sudan, peacekeeping, restorative justice, and human rights. Dr. Booker is the coordinator of the African American Studies Minor and is an important resource for students of African and international affairs and international criminal justice. Her dissertation was titled: “The Determinants and Strategies in the Delivery of Humanitarian Assistance: the Case of Operation Lifeline Sudan.” She has a BA, cum laude, in political science and an MA, M.Phil, and PhD in political science from the Graduate Center of The City University of New York.
