My major is Fraud Examination & Financial Forensics and I chose it as a leap of faith.  When I started John Jay I was unsure of what I wanted to do - I applied with Law & Society after taking a College Now Law and Literature class that I excelled in, changed to Computer Science in my first semester because I have a good background in computers, and in my second semester found my way to Fraud Examination & Financial Forensics.  My first year was mainly about exploring my different interests, and I noticed that despite loving the tedious and thoughtful work of Computer Science, I was missing out on the direct legal aspects of Law and Society that excited me and couldn't see myself doing it as a career.  After reading up on the various major pages posted by the AAC, I figured my now current major would be a good mix of what interested me out of the two majors I had already tried.

Dream Career: a cat cafe owner.

The top three life skills that I've learned in college:
1) it is more than okay to need help and ask for it.
2) you are not alone - John Jay has amazing and FREE resources for students as well as people who WANT to help you!
3) comparing yourself to who you were yesterday instead of who other people are today is one of the best ways to find happiness.

My favorite quote is:
I am big enough to admit that I am often inspired by myself. (Leslie Knope, Parks & Rec.)

If my life had a theme song it would be Don't Stop Believin' by Journey.
