Hi everyone! My name is Anna Giannicchi. I’m a double major in Forensic Psychology and Criminology. John Jay College is my home and I love everything about my school. I plan on working at Rikers Island and getting my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, but right now, my interests lie in making John Jay better in any way that I can. I adore working in Academic Advising and I can’t wait for you to come visit our office! I moved from a tiny town in the middle of nowhere to the big, bad city, so if you’re ever feeling lost or lonely, I can empathize. I work for our college President’s office on the project “From Punishment to Public Health”, tackling issues such as harm reduction, mass incarceration, violence prevention, and correctional health. This means I spend a lot of time with groups focusing on criminal justice, and social services.
When I’m not at John Jay, I’m a professional musician who loves red lipstick, cats, Chipotle, and feminism. I’m a fierce advocate for justice, and I’m here to help you.
