Jennifer comes to John Jay with years of experience in higher education & nonprofit sector. She has a Master's of Public Administration from Baruch College, where she placed 1st and 3rd in two social-venture entrepreneurial competitions (Merrill Lynch & CUNY, respectively). She is currently pursuing a doctorate in education at Fordham University, and is focusing her dissertation on older adults in higher education. She feels extremely grateful to be part of the APPLE Corps team, and looks forward to seeing APPLE Corps students realize their dreams!

Jay is dedicated to supporting students on their academic journey and coordinates the team of APPLE Corps Peer Success Coaches to ensure that students are able to reach their goals. A graduate of Rutgers University, Jay also holds his Master of Science in Education in the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College.

Muldy Flecher
Internship Counselor for the APPLE Corps program

Muldy comes to us from the Young Adult Borough Center at Boys & Girls High School for Good Shepherd Services. For over five years, Muldy served as the Internship & Career Coordinator where he was responsible for placing students in different internship opportunities throughout New York City along with conducting workshops and work-readiness seminars. Muldy earned his Graduate and Undergraduate degrees from Stony Brook University.

Natalie holds a MS in Student Personnel Administration from SUNY Buffalo State, where she was a recipient of the SUNY Diversity Fellowship. She comes to John Jay with several years of experience within Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. Natalie had the opportunity to not just study and experience higher education domestically, but globally through the University of Virginia's Semester at Sea: Student Affairs at Sea program. Through this opportunity, Natalie traveled to Europe and Northern Africa to get a hands-on experience of higher education around the world.

Edwin began his career in higher education as a Pre-Admissions counselor at Hunter College where he developed a passion for working with a diverse population of students in higher education. Edwin has a Master's of Higher Education Administration from Baruch College.

Claire has been working with NYC students as part of the CUNY community and with the New York Department of Education for over 5 years. She believes that college should be accessible to everyone, and is dedicated to supporting students as they work to pursue their goals. Claire is the Service-Learning Specialist for the APPLE Corps program at John Jay, and is also a real-life service-learning success story. Claire holds a Masters in the Sociology of Education from New York University.

Domenica is majoring in Forensic Psychology and pursuing a certificate in Spanish Legal Translation and Interpretation. Her career goal is to become a counselor for at risk youth. She's originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. When she's not studying or spending time with her mentees, she loves to spend time with family and friends and explore around the city.

Christian Perez
Christian is Majoring in English, Minoring in Philosophy, and pursuing a certificate in conflict resolution. He aspires to become an assistant district attorney after attending Fordham University School of Law. He is also a massive fan of the Star Wars franchise and enjoys reading comic books and other Star Wars related literature in his free time.

Gabrielle Yee
Gabrielle is a Humanities and Justice major with a double minor in philosophy and political science. As a peer success coach she hopes to gain meaningful relationships with her mentees. She aspires to become a criminal lawyer someday. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and playing soccer.

Rosalma Pineda
Rosalma is majoring in Criminal Justice. Her career goal is to join the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit as a Criminal Profiler. She’s originally from the Dominican Republic. When she's not studying or spending time with her mentees, she enjoys playing basketball and writing poetry.

Selina is majoring in English, double minoring in Journalism and Environmental Justice. Her career goal is undecided, but she is keeping an open mind. She was born and raised in Queens, New York. When she's not studying or spending time with her mentees, she likes to explore the city and relax with her dogs.

Shymaa is a sophomore at John Jay College majoring in Philosophy. After college, she wants to go to law school and become an attorney. Born and raised in queens, Shymaa enjoys working out and helping people achieve their weight/strength goal. She is also an eTern at John Jay, which helps students create online professional profiles showcasing their academic achievements throughout their college experience.
