Undergraduate Applicants

Please note:  Due to limited funding, we are no longer accepting applications for the NYPD Leadership Program for the Spring 2018 semester.  The funding will be available for the Fall 2018 semester.  However, undergraduate students may continue to apply  for the Spring 2018 semester and register for courses outside of the NYPD Leadership Program.  Undergraduate students enrolling for the Spring 2018 semester, may refer to the Tuition Discounts & Academic Benefits page to learn more about tuition discounts. 

Undergraduate applicants must submit all of the following:

  • Online interest form by clicking here
  • Copy of NYPD UMOS ID via fax to 212-237-8777, via email at or via postal mail
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges, including military and NYPD agency transcript, via postal mail

Graduate Non-Degree Applicants

Please note:  We are currently only accepting applications for the Fall 2018 semester.  

Graduate non-degree applicants must submit all of the following:

  • Submit online application by clicking here

Application Instructions:  Select "non-degree" as enrollment type and "NYPD Leadership Program" for the program selection. Application fees, letters of recommendation and essays are not required.

  • Send proof of graduation (copy of college transcript with graduation date OR copy of diploma) AND copy of NYPD UMOS ID via email at

Readmit Applicants

Returning students who stopped attending John Jay College for one semester or more and have not completed their degree, may contact the NYPD Leadership Administrative Assistant, Rockel Corbett at

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Applications will not be processed until all supporting documents are submitted.   Complete applications may take up to 3 weeks to process.  Submitting a complete application does not guarantee a seat. Therefore, it is important to submit an application and supporting documents as early as possible, as registration is on a first come, first served basis.
