Dr. Nathan Lents

Nathan H. Lents is Professor of Biology and Director of the Honors Program and the Macaulay Honors College at John Jay. He holds a Ph.D. in human physiology and postdoctoral training in computational biology from NYU. He has been on the faculty of John Jay College since 2006 and previously led the Office of Undergraduate Research, the Biology minor and the Cell and Molecular Biology major, and was deputy chair of the Department of Sciences. In addition to his laboratory research, Professor Lents writes popular science articles, blogs, and books. His most recent book is "Human Errors: A Panorama of Our Glitches from Pointless Bones to Broken Genes."
