Students are able to receive advisement based on their unique circumstances.
I. BULLETIN BOARD:
The Office of Graduate School Advising bulletin board is updated on a regular basis to inform students of various master's and doctoral degree programs and opportunities. Students may obtain postcards off the boards to acquire additional information on various schools and programs.

The Office also acts as a referral guide for students interested in public schools, private schools or John Jay's graduate programs.
IV. INDIVIDUALIZED ADVISEMENT:
Students may receive one-to-one advising to address specific concerns or questions regarding applying to graduate school, i.e. prep tests, letters of recommendation, graduate school fairs and graduate program requirements.
