Making Teaching Visible and Valued The Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice is a catalyst for encouraging creative collaborations among faculty members interested in exploring innovative approaches to pedagogy in higher education. CAT fosters the continuing education and professional development of the John Jay faculty by sponsoring seminars, workshops and training programs that focus on the practice and scholarship of teaching and that help build a sense of community. Our goal is to make teaching visible and valued.
