Private Investigator Course

The Security Management Institute (SMI) has developed a program which is designed for individuals who wish to enter the field of Private Investigations. This three day program has been specially designed to develop basic knowledge and skills for the practitioner who is, or anticipates being, a private investigator. Each lesson has been updated and focuses on the challenges faced by investigative personnel who are not in law enforcement. Both the beginner and the accomplished investigator should find this program an outstanding reference.

Instructors are subject matter experts, attorneys, certified protection professionals and licensed private investigators.
Appropriate handout materials and presentations provide an overview of the Private Investigators principles and responsibilities.
Certificates will be provided upon completion of the course.

THE SECURITY MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE

The SMI is non-profit and has as its objective the continuing professionalization of security management. The institute is designed to encourage and provide professional education and research in the security field and to assist business, industry and institutions to meet the challenge of Asset Protection through specially designed seminars, conferences and courses. Grants and donations to the John Jay Foundation are encouraged to further research and development in this growing and dynamic profession.
