| Q: |
What is a minor and how do I choose one? |
| A: |
A
minor is a secondary field of study. You may pursue
a minor concentration in a field under the guidance
of the academic department you select. Each department
has their own guidelines for courses that fulfill requirements
for their minor. However, credits earned in the minor
may be applied to degree requirements in the major.
The appropriate department chairperson must certify
to the Office of the Registrar that you have completed
the appropriate 18 credits in the designated minor;
at least fifty percent of the course work must be taken
at the College. Completion of the minor is noted on
your official transcript. |
