The Dean's List Achievement Awards and Reception for Graduating Seniors

The Dean's List Achievement Award is granted to those students that have earned the Dean's List honor every semester of enrollment at John Jay College. These students are celebrated each Spring term with a special reception ceremony. Eligible students are personally invited by the Office of Undergraduate Studies.

SPRING 2020

Under the auspices of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, The Dean’s List Achievement Award recognizes graduating seniors who have not only satisfied the college’s rigorous requirements for the Dean’s List but have gone a step further to consistently earn the Dean’s List notation each term since matriculating to John Jay. Award recipients are celebrated each year at a special ceremony and reception held in their honor where they receive a Dean’s List Achievement Award Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, as well as other items used to decorate the graduation regalia. Regretfully, due to COVID-19, this year’s ceremony and reception could not be held.

Instead, the Dean’s Office created this viewbook to feature the names and compelling stories shared by many of our awardees. Award recipients also had the opportunity to express their gratitude to those who supported them along the way, whether it be a loved one, a faculty member, or staff at John Jay. This year, we added a section dedicated to award recipients who are serving on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. All stories are published with the permission of our students.
