The Department of Counseling & Human Services is an interdisciplinary academic department. The department offers minor in Human Services  that are designed to enhance a liberal arts education by fostering adjustment, self-reflection and connection to the College. The courses offered by our faculty and our research interests incorporate counseling psychology, personal and career development, counseling theory, research and ethics, critical thinking, the development of analytical abilities, social and cultural diversity, communication skills, and experiential learning skills in a variety of human service settings within the criminal justice system and in public service. The department also provides Peer Counseling Program.
