    NEW!  Faculty COVID Recovery Awards – Call for Applications

     Award Options (faculty can request either option 1 or 2) - application is brief (10 questions):
    (1) Faculty Success Program:  The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) offers a 12-week Faculty Success Program (FSP) to help tenure-track and tenured faculty with the skills necessary to increase research and writing productivity while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. In light of COVID challenges, the FSP will help provide training and support for faculty career recovery (e.g., toward tenure or promotion to Associate or Full professor). Given that faculty are role models for students, your success is critical to our students’ academic success. The FSP is offered three times per year (Summer, Fall and Spring).  Next session: Summer 2022, May 15-August 6, 2022 (Program information: https://www.facultydiversity.org/fsp-bootcamp)
    Deadline to apply:  Rolling – applications will be reviewed on the 15th of each month (until 1/15/23)

    (2) Kickstart Grants:  Small grants for faculty seeking to restart their scholarship/retool as needed, to support career progress undermined by the pandemic. Budget can include funds for research (assistant) support; training/retooling for pedagogy or scholarly work; summer salary for professional development or scholarly work; online data collection fees; course release.  (Max budget $5,000/grant)

    Award criteria: 

    • COVID-related challenges to career advancement
    • Challenges to be addressed/goal to be achieved through receipt of an award  
    • For grants, scholarly project(s) to be supported (e.g., papers/books toward tenure, promotion, etc.)
