Bio

 

As an adjunct professor at John Jay, Professor Pangburn was instrumental in introducing digital instruction in the arts with the creation of Graphic Arts 195, a class in Photoshop, digital imagery, and two-dimensional design. He has also taught a variety of traditional printmaking classes as well as drawing, both as an instructor and as a post-graduate teaching assistant in the Untied States and in Germany. Professor Pangburn works in a variety of two-dimensional media, including painting, drawing, and printmaking. He has exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions throughout the US, including the Brooklyn Museum, the Amarillo Museum of Art, the Addison Art Gallery, Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, Madison Art Gallery, Tibor de Nagy Gallery, among others. In 1982 he was a recipient of a grant for multi-media work from the Ariana Foundation. His work is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum.  Ann Harmon Ltd. in Madrid, Spain currently represents him.
