Bio

Luis Matias Barajas Saldaña is a Professor in the Science Department, experienced in advanced research-oriented in Sustainability, Energy analysis, Environmental planning and development. He commenced his academic career in Europe (Barcelona, Spain) experienced in teaching and academic tutoring to Master and PhD graduate students. Dr. Barajas publications have dealt with teaching and use of Building performance simulation software related with Energy Efficiency. From 2015-2016 he was part of the European Union, Cooperation in Science and Technology action TU 1104 "Smart Energy Regions", were he collaborate and taught in countries like Serbia and England.

PhD in Energy Efficiency, trained in Applied Physics in Architecture with a Master degree in building sustainability, building systems and facilities with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture specialized in Domotics, which seeks to promote a change in his field through the introduction of energy analysis of buildings through new approaches and strategies for energy efficiency methods. His goal is to promote sustainable development practices to turn them into referents for the future generations, incorporating environmental and sustainability criteria as added value to projects and services.

One of his biggest interest is to change the perspective of how we look our Environment  and how we affect it, and there is no better way to achieve a change, by been Sustainable, saving energy and using his knowledge on how to solve problems of sustainability such as climate change in our world, by teaching new generations.
