Adjunct Associate Professor Jill Claretta Robbins holds a BA in English from Vassar College and an MA and PhD in Italian from New York University. Her areas of specialization are Medieval and Renaissance literature, and her dissertation was on the Renaissance poet Luigi Pulci. She has taught Italian at John Jay College for eleven years and has organized and chaired the Italian section of several conferences at the College. She has taught at a number of colleges including New York University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, Hunter College and Pratt. Dr. Robbins is a published poet and translator and has also presented papers on such authors as D’Annunzio, Bocccaccio, Castiglione, Della Casa and Pulci.
