My major is Youth Justice Studies and Comparative Prison Studies (CUNY BA) and I chose it because I wanted to help youth who may be involved in the criminal justice system.  I believe they deserve the opportunity to be able to learn from their mistakes and build a successful future.  Also, I wanted to focus on the prison system throughout the entire world.  Being able to create my own major through CUNY BA allowed me to focus on issues that I find interesting and want to advocate for.

Dream Career: working with justice involved youth and helping them to better themselves.  I want a career that will be able to benefit every individual and their community.

The top three life skills that I've learned in college:
1) focus on yourself and your own goals.
2) go out of your comfort zone because when you do, it can open up other opportunities.
3) do what makes you happy because at the end of the day it is your future.

My favorite movie is:
Coco

If my life had a theme song it would be I Was Here by Beyonce.
