We are looking for energetic students and writing enthusiasts to join our new Learning Enrichment Program at the Immigrant Student Success center. The Immigrant Student Success Center provides legal, mental health, and academic resources for undocumented, DACA, or mixed status John Jay students. The Undocu-achievers program strives to help immigrant students at John Jay College excel in their academic and professional careers. Students who obtain knowledge in immigration are encouraged to apply. Interns must be available at least 5 hours a week(Monday-Friday). Hours are flexible. Interns will help students write or edit cover letters, personal statements, or essays. Feedback and constructive criticism is essential and must be given through an effective manner. Interns will also help students with reading comprehension, grammar, syntax and other mechanics of writing. Please keep in mind that no experience is necessary. The duration of the internship is per semester.



  • Students must be available for 5 hours a week(the equivalent to 5 writing sessions/workshops).



  • Good academic standing (3.0 GPA).
  • Strong/excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Obtain knowledge in Immigration.
  • Intern must be friendly and patient.
  • Must be a John Jay student.
