Faculty nominations for the 2020-2021 John Jay's Finest publication are now accepted. Please see below for details:



Dear John Jay College Faculty:
As every year, the Finest features undergraduate writing from across the disciplines at the college from all departments to honor their student writers with nominations. We will soon start reading submissions and would like to consider your students’ best work of spring 2020 for publication in the 2021 issue of John Jay’s Finest.

Here are the details:

  • You may submit up to three undergraduate essays from the spring 2020 semester.
  • Nominations for fall 2020 will be accepted through January 15, 2021.
  • To be considered for publication in the Finest, work must be nominated and submitted by the professor (student nominations are not accepted).

About John Jay's Finest:

Published annually, John Jay's Finest features outstanding writing from across the undergraduate curriculum. Each spring, the Finest hosts a launch party that showcases the talent and wide-ranging intellectual curiosity of our students. To be considered for inclusion in the anthology, a student’s essay (or research paper or story or poem) must be nominated and submitted by their professor.
