John Jay College hosted an event in partnership with CUNY Citizenship Now! where immigration attorneys conducted a presentation called ‘Know Your Rights’, which provided information to students and community members about how to prepare and find help in case of an encounter with immigration enforcement agents.

Immigrant Legal Research Center (ILRC)

All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. Red Cards are designed by the Immigrant Legal Research Center (ILRC) to help people assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents go to a home.
