Charles A. Lieberman received a Master’s in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is working on his dissertation for a PhD in Criminal Justice at the City University of New York Graduate Center. His primary areas of research and interest are policing and terrorism. Charles is involved with the New York City Police Leadership Certificate Program in which he teaches a graduate level course on counter-terrorism for members of the New York City Police Department. Charles, a lifelong resident of New York City, served as a member of the NYPD from 1990 through 2005, where he spent more than 11 years involved in criminal investigations working both with the Organized Crime Control and Detective Bureaus. In addition, Charles is currently instructing supervisory members of law enforcement agencies from across New York State through the Law Enforcement Executive Institute in Albany.
