Charles Lieberman earned a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the CUNY Graduate Center. His primary areas of research and interest are criminal investigations, policing & terrorism. Charles has been involved with the New York City Police Leadership Certificate Program, teaching a graduate level counter-terrorism course designed for members of the New York City Police Department. Charles, a lifelong resident of New York City, served as a member of the NYPD from 1990 through 2005, where he spent more than a decade engaged in criminal investigations working with the Organized Crime Control and Detective Bureaus. In addition, Charles taught supervisory members of various law enforcement agencies from New York State through the Law Enforcement Executive Institute in Albany from 2007 through 2008.
