Synergize Insights  provides municipalities and real estate developers a tool to directly engage community residents and visualize real-time insights on a dashboard. Synergize Insights has been tested with the NYC Mayor's Office of Innovation and Technology and will launch in BETA in Newark, Atlanta, and Washington D.C in 2020.

ABOUT

The summer 2020 Moelis Social Entrepreneurship (MSE) Academy at John Jay College is for high school students passionate about creating social value and driving real change. MSE Academy equips students with the skills necessary to creatively and practically address the most pressing social challenges of our time.

Over this 2-week program, students will network with industry leaders and changemakers and discover powerful ways to make a difference. They will engage with social entrepreneurship experts from our global strategic partner organizations including the Center for Social Innovation (CSI), Impact Labs,  Synergize Insights, Nectar Nectar and Bloc.

Students will pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of educators and entrepreneurs, including Ron Moelis at the L&M Development Office in NYC.

By the end of this pre-college experience, students will have built valuable professional relationships and developed desirable skills in design thinking to drive their passion for social impact through college and beyond.

MSE is part of John Jay College’s mission to prepare students for socially conscious leadership, global citizenship and engaged service. John Jay is one of the nation’s premier institutions dedicated to educating fierce advocates of justice.

The summer 2020 MSE Academy will be held from
July 13, 2020 – July 24, 2020
Sessions begin at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm (Monday – Friday)

Eligibility

  • Academically prepared, highly motivated students who are willing to take initiative and have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent
  • Applicants with a passion for social impact, community innovation, and entrepreneurship
  • High School Students who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors in Fall 2020.

 

Applications are accepted on a first-come-first serve basis and the academy is limited to 25 seats.

Tuition & Fees

Early Action Application Deadline: April 30, 2020
Program Tuition: $1400

Application Deadline: June 30, 2020
Program Tuition: $1500

Upon selection, students are required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $250 along with their immunization records within 15 days to reserve their seat in the program.

Tuition is due in full on June 1st, 2020 by midnight. Students who submit their applications after June 1st, 2020 will be required to pay the full tuition within 15 days of notice of selection.

  • Application / Profile Form
  • 1 Letter of Recommendation: Letter of recommendation can be written by teachers, guidance counselors, professional mentors, or supervisors from a voluntary organization or extra-curricular activity. Recommendations written by friends and family members will not be accepted as part of the application.
  • Official High School Transcripts
