Champions of Justice Reception
Robin Merle, Vice President of Institutional Advancement opened the Champions of Justice reception with her favorite quote, “It takes each of us to make a difference for all of us”. That spirit of giving, that desire to help student reach their fullest potential, permeated the room. The event gave the John Jay Community the chance to congratulate student scholarship, fellowship and internship recipients, while recognizing and thanking the generous benefactors that made it all possible.
Amongst the selected recipients of this honor were 20 fellows from the Moelis Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship. The fellowship was first launched in Fall 2017 and focuses on introducing the idea of social innovation and cultivating skills need to pursue a career of social value. Each of the 10 fellows were given a generous stipend of $3,000 from Ron Moelis upon successful completion of the fellowship.
